# Payment Holding & OTP Verification Implementation Summary

## Completed Features

### 1. Database Schema Updates

- Added `status` field (enum: pending, validated, otp_verified, completed, failed, cancelled)
- Added `data_3ds_pares` field to store pares after OTP verification
- Added `payment_method` field (card, easypaisa, jazzcash, upaisa)
- Added `otp_verified_at` and `completed_at` timestamps
- Migration file: `2025_01_15_000001_add_status_and_pares_to_process_payments.php`

### 2. ProcessPayment Model Enhancements

- Added status constants and helper methods
- Added `isPending()`, `isValidated()`, `isOtpVerified()`, `isCompleted()`, `isFailed()` methods
- Added `markAsValidated()`, `markAsOtpVerified()`, `markAsCompleted()`, `markAsFailed()` methods
- Proper type casting and fillable attributes

### 3. Payment Holding Feature

- After customer validation, payment is stored in DB with status `validated`
- Payment data includes transaction_id, 3DS secure ID, and all request data
- Works for both card payments and wallet payments (EasyPaisa, UPaisa, JazzCash)

### 4. OTP Verification Service

- New service: `OTPVerificationService`
- Method: `verifyOTPAndStorePares()` - Verifies OTP and stores pares in DB
- Updates payment status to `otp_verified`
- Dispatches `PaymentValidated` event

### 5. Callback Handler

- Method: `completeTransactionFromPares()` - Retrieves payment by pares and completes transaction
- Finds payment record using stored pares
- Completes transaction with PayFast API
- Updates payment status to `completed` or `failed`
- Dispatches appropriate events

### 6. Console Command Refactoring

- Updated `CABPayments` command to follow PSR-12
- Uses dependency injection (HttpClientInterface, ConfigService)
- Added options: `--status` and `--limit`
- Better error handling and output formatting
- Processes payments and updates status accordingly

### 7. PayFast Class Updates

- Added `verifyOTPAndStorePares()` method
- Added `completeTransactionFromPares()` method
- Updated `getOTPScreen()` to store payment in DB after validation
- Updated wallet payment methods to store payment in DB
- All methods return proper JsonResponse

### 8. Repository Pattern

- Added `findByPares()` method to repository interface and implementation
- All data access goes through repository

## Payment Flow

### Card Payment Flow:

1. **Customer Validation** → `getOTPScreen($data)`

   - Validates customer with PayFast
   - Stores payment in DB (status: `validated`)
   - Returns transaction_id and payment_id
   - Redirects to OTP screen

2. **OTP Verification** → `verifyOTPAndStorePares($transactionId, $otp, $pares)`

   - Verifies OTP
   - Stores pares in DB
   - Updates status to `otp_verified`
   - Returns success response

3. **PayFast Callback** → `completeTransactionFromPares($pares)`
   - Receives pares from PayFast callback
   - Finds payment record by pares
   - Completes transaction with PayFast
   - Updates status to `completed` or `failed`

### Wallet Payment Flow (EasyPaisa, UPaisa, JazzCash):

- Same flow as card payment
- Payment stored with appropriate `payment_method`
- Status tracking works identically

## Usage Examples

### 1. Initiate Payment

```php
$response = PayFast::getOTPScreen([
    'orderNumber' => 'ORD-123',
    'transactionAmount' => 1000,
    'customerMobileNo' => '03001234567',
    'customer_email' => 'customer@example.com',
    'cardNumber' => '4111111111111111',
    'expiry_month' => '12',
    'expiry_year' => '2025',
    'cvv' => '123',
]);
```

### 2. Verify OTP

```php
$response = PayFast::verifyOTPAndStorePares(
    $transactionId,
    $otp,
    $pares
);
```

### 3. Handle Callback

```php
$response = PayFast::completeTransactionFromPares($pares);
```

## Console Commands

```bash
# Check pending payments
php artisan payfast:check-pending-payments
# Check specific status
php artisan payfast:check-pending-payments --status=otp_verified
# Limit results
php artisan payfast:check-pending-payments --limit=10
```

## Database Status Flow

```
pending → validated → otp_verified → completed
                              ↓
                           failed
```
